SPEAKER: Bob Eckhart (USA)
TOPIC: CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION TIPS
June 2, 18.00
Cross-cultural communication is crucial to interacting with people from another country and culture. When you came to another country you have to learn unique aspects of communication to improve your communication.
When you travel to America you need to understand how Americans typically communicate and how to interpret what they say. A lot of communication depends on more than just knowing what words to say and how to say them (ie/vocabulary and pronunciation); instead, you need to know when to say or not say certain things and who to say them to.
A lot of cross-cultural communication is behavioral, so the speaker will emphasize that as well.
